Those that have an existing user database often make use of authenticators to allow authenticating with existing account login data. Some love to provide their users with additional functionality with scripts making use of server APIs, or host music bots and the like that connect to the server. Some make use of the extensive permission system for complex scenarios (for example separating two groups but leaders being able to talk to both). We heard from users who record podcasts with our multi-channel audio recorder, players seeking realism with our positional audio in games, Eve Online players with huge communities of over 100 simultaneous voice participants (I bet they make good use of our extensive permission system □), the competitive Team Fortress 2 community making us their required voice communication platform, hobby radio transmission users, and a variety of workplaces adapting Mumble to fit their needs - be it on-head mobile devices or communicating across countries or into airplanes.Īdministrators appreciate Mumble for being able to self host and have control over data security and privacy. But low latency and gaming are not the only use cases it shines in. ![]() Mumble was the first VoIP application to establish true low latency voice communication over a decade ago. Mumble is a free, open source, low latency, high quality voice chat application. You can download the new version from our Downloads page (under snapshots) or the Lets us verify that there are no major issues with this version before we perform the actual stable release. This series is started out by means of an initial release candidate, that hopefully If they add those features, I’ll amend my four star review to a five star review. We are pleased to announce the new stable series of Mumble 1.5.x. It would be nice to have the ability to go backwards to review a puzzle or even have somebody else try a particularly good one. As it is, you can only go forward in the game to the next puzzle. Another feature I’d like to see is a back button. That doesn’t really make sense to me since they already give you a way to shuffle them, just not in a user-friendly way. Whether you are new to Jumble or a seasoned player, we hope you enjoy all our brand has to offer from the 68-year old newspaper puzzle. I emailed the developers to request a “shuffle-button” and they responded the next day saying that they’d considered it, but they thought it would make the game too easy. Since 1954, Jumble has been entertaining generations of players who have discovered the puzzles humorous punny solution by unjumbling words and then pondering the puzzle’s cartoon and caption. You can shuffle them by shaking your device, but that’s not a great solution when you’re in bed trying to fall asleep. A feature I’d like to see added, is ability to easily shuffle the bonus words. While the words can be hard to figure out, the gameplay is intuitive and fun. And it’s clear that they’ve put a lot of thought into the implementation. The gameplay is a bit different than the newspaper version, but it’s every bit as fun as I remember, and it brings back some great memories. ![]() ![]() We competed to see who could figure out the picture-pun the quickest. As a kid, I played this with my parents when it was in the comic section of the newspaper. ![]()
